Leadership

What is .... Leadership?

Leadership ModelLeadership has been written as the “process of social influence in which one person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task.” Leadership is ultimately about creating a way for people to contribute to making something extraordinary happen.

Leadership remains one of the most relevant aspects of the organizational context. However, defining leadership has been challenging and definitions can vary depending on the situation. Most organisations have managers fewer of them have leaders. Leadership is about setting and not just reacting to agendas, identifying problems, and initiating change that makes for substantial improvement rather than managing change. EFQM define leadership as people who shape the future and make it happen, acting as role models for its values and ethics and inspiring trust at all times. They are flexible, enabling the organisation to anticipate and react in a timely manner to ensure the ongoing success of the organisation.

Transforming your personal performance from that of manager to one of leader will help give you and your organisation both competitive advantage and competitive differential.
