Inter Company Collaborations:
Description This workshop is designed for individuals who facilitate, support or manage collaborative working groups. It will equip them with new skills for their role and provide an environment to test them out. Why Attend? Effective collaborations can deliver higher value, more innovative solutions and better returns than people or businesses working individually can achieve. A smoother, less confrontational approach increases the probability of a successful outcome often reducing the time and resources required to deliver the results - providing confidence for the stakeholders, facilitators and participants of the collaborative group. The workshop will include:
Background In a time of increasing economic pressures businesses and organisations are increasingly needing to find new ways to better leverage their existing resources, contend with larger competitors and create new value. Clustering has been shown across the world to be an effective way of overcoming these problems. This requires skills in collaborative working, where the outcomes for an individual organisation can often only be achieved by ensuring that others achieve theirs. Often the teams operate without a formal leader, drawing members from other organisations, cultures, styles, perspectives and priorities, yet are expected to deliver tangible benefits. The Centre for Competitiveness has facilitated collaborative working groups and networks for over 15 years, drawing on the best international practice and adapting it especially for Northern Ireland. We supply training in interpersonal facilitation techniques, network maturity assessments and supporting technologies including the Northern Ireland Smart Communities in association with DFP and Invest NI. |
