Focused Improvement through certified training “Six Sigma Yellow Belt”

“The significant problems we face cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them” Albert Einstein

DESCRIPTION

Yellow Belt training is the ideal programme to ensure that all staff understands the fundamentals of Six Sigma, and can contribute to Six Sigma projects and a structured approach to problem solving.

AIM / CONTENT

The two-day yellow belt workshop is designed to take participants through a structured process to solving problems utilising the Six Sigma methodology and some of the basic problem-solving tools and techniques available. The objectives of the workshop are to:

  • Introduce the Six Sigma methodology

  • Introduce a variety of problem solving tools and techniques

  • Demonstrate how these tools and techniques can be applied to "real-life" situations, and ultimately

  • Enable participants to apply the problem solving process within the organisation

The workshop combines classroom teaching on the Six Sigma methodology and on the associated tools and techniques with syndicate sessions where participants will have an opportunity to apply their new learning and to discuss the practical applications within their own areas of responsibility.

Participants will be taken through each step of the 4-step Six Sigma methodology, namely: -

1. Measure - What is the problem? Explore & measure the current process

2. Analyse - Data analysis, determine root cause

3. Improve - How can we fix the process?

4. Control - How can we make the process stay fixed?
