Creative Problem Solving

Creative Problem Solving

A simple yet effective approach to generating different and innovative solutions for problems on a day-to-day basis using small teams.

Do you ever find yourself wishing that your people would be able to come up with new and different solutions that get people excited rather than simply more of the same?

At the Centre for Competitiveness (CforC) we have designed an approach creative problem solving using a range of lateral thinking tools and techniques that are used by thinkers and problem solvers the world over. These are all brought together and focused through a set of templates that will enable a small group of people to solve any problem creatively, generating a range of solutions.

What is Creative Problem Solving?

CforC has designed this approach by searching for the most simple to use yet effective thinking techniques and integrating them into a powerful set of templates. This approach starts from the idea that there is seldom only one answer to any problem and then uses a range of creative and lateral thinking tools to generate a range of new ideas and solutions, and drive them through to an action plan to make things happen.

It introduces a range of lateral thinking techniques that are all proven successful and are joined together through the use of a set of templates. Each tool is introduced, explained and demonstrated. Delegates are then asked to solve problems using the tools, learning by doing, so that a good understanding of how it actually works is gained.

Who would benefit from this Creative Problem Solving approach?

Owner-managers, managers at all levels in the organization, especially team leaders, supervisors and middle managers. This creative problem solving approach is suitable for ALL types of company or organization, not just manufacturing, but also services of any description, public and voluntary sectors, in fact, any organization that finds itself regularly seeking new and creative solutions to problems.
