Targeted Funding for Business Improvement

The Centre for Competitiveness (CforC) has launched two programmes for delivering people development in Six Sigma and Innovation and Creativity. These development opportunities may be eligible for bursary support from the Department for Employment and Learning under the Management and Leadership Development Programme.
The level of funding is linked to the size of the organisation as follows:

Firms < 250 employees 50%
Firms >250 employees 25%

Six Sigma Certified Green Belt Training
(For service organisations as well as manufacturing companies)
Price: £3000.00 pp – 11 days over 3 months open enrolment

Outcome: Certification based on measurable outcomes.
Measure – Explore and measure current processes.
Analyse – Data analysis, determine root causes.
Improve – How we can fix the process?
Control – How can we make the process stay fixed?

Innovation & Creativity
(For all types of organisations)
Price £1600 pp – 5.5 days training in 3 parts over a 2 month period, open enrolment or in house by arrangement.

Outcome: Part 1 – Identifying and recording customer feedback, and satisfaction. It covers 1 day on “Implementing a customer management system” in your organisation and is followed by 1 day linking direct customer feedback to the organisations’ internal processes to set the focus for change and improvement.
Part 2 – 1.5 days Creative thinking. Proven, practical methods for generating solution in product/service development and process improvement. Especially suited to those who don't see themselves as 'creative'.
Part 3 – 2 days Managing Innovation. Structured tools and techniques to help you develop your own innovation process.
